Description
Exitium - latin for destruction or ruin.
I started this with no idea what I wanted - all I knew was that I wanted something with a border. Eventually, I also decided I wanted a planet to be on the verge of exploding after being struck by something.
Terragen render to start, planet I already had, a few stock photos (lighthouse, sailboat), some editing (light from planet on water, light from lighthouse, reflection), and then added the explosion. May not be the best, but I learned from it, which was what I was going for. Both were things I've respectively never done and accomplished before.
This is the slightly modified wallpaper version. Full version can be found here (2000*2000 px).
Any comments/suggestions/favs are much appreciated!

nice 
simple colors add uniqe feeling here,
but planet texture could be more interesting...its now bit boring, but good you add there that explosion, thats quite nicely done, hovever you could bit blur that layer with lens flare
...
i like landscape, simple and realistic nice, lighthouse and that little ship are good idea
its pity that north-east part of picture is bit boring and empty... could be there for example some larger stars... overall nice picture, but when you click for large preview you'll notice some minor deficits. its bit pity hovever practice could eliminate that mistakes
